  • English – Recounts, Narrative writing based on journeys, Newspaper reports, Explanations, Play Scripts, grammar, spelling and handwriting
  • Maths - Number, Calculation, Fractions, Problem Solving, Introductory Algebra, Shape, Measurement
  • Science - Sound, Plants
  • Geography – A European area
  • RE – Hinduism and Sikhism
  • ICT – Graphing, Online safety, Logo
  • Music - Glockenspiels and Singing/music for the play
  • Art and DT - Printing and Mechanisms
  • PSHE –It’s good to be me, relationships, alcohol and tobacco, safe use of medicines

  • The curriculum that children in Holly class are following Autumn Term:

    History- Ancient Egypt

    Geography -Climate

    Science- Living things and their habitats

    Art and DT- Textiles

    RE –Christianity and Islam

    French - En Classe et Les Animaux

    ICT– Online safety, coding, simulation and graphing

    Literacy-In addition to essential punctuation, grammar and spelling we will also cover topics including narrative (familiar settings), report writing, instruction writing and poetry. We will continue to develop the children’s reading skills

    Mathematics –We will continue to cover all areas of the mathematics curriculum. We will also continue bi –weekly assertive mentoring tests (basic skills) with follow up.

    Music - Singing, playing glockenspiel and recorder, improvising and composing. All based around the Abba song, Mamma Mia!

    PSHE - New beginnings, Good to be me and Bonfire Night

    PE – Basketball, netball, tennis, gymnastics, dance
