    English - Contemporary fiction, Reports, Poetry, Whole school literacy unit Tadpole's Promise (focus determined by classteachers - explanation and story retelling in Cherry), Instructions
    Maths - Place Value, Addition and Subtraction, 3d shapes, Time, Fractions, Money
    Science - Seasonal Change
    History - Homes and Famous People (including Christchurch Mansion and the Fonnereux family)
    Geography - Weather
    Art - Clay modelling
    DT - Moving mechanisms
    PSHE - Stranger Danger, Recognising Feelings
    RE - Islam and Christianity
    ICT - Animated stories and Coding

  • The curriculum that children in Cherry class are following Autumn Term 2017:

  • Literacy - phonics, spelling, punctuation and grammar, reading comprehension, recount writing, traditional tales, explanations, calligrams and list poems
    Maths - estimating and counting, learning number bonds, learning the 2 and 10 times tables, sorting shapes, measuring length, adding and subtracting 2 digit numbers on a number line, working with money
    Science - seasonal changes, uses of everyday materials
    History - castles, including a trip to Framlingham Castle
    Geography - weather, local study including using, drawing and understanding simple maps
    Art - drawing
    DT - working with textiles
    RE - Judaism and Christianity
    ICT - online safety, grouping and sorting, creating and understanding pictograms
